Les Patisseries, French Cuisine in Upper Thomson
Les Patisseries is a restaurant that serves french cuisine in Upper Thomson. They have an array of beautiful sweets and waffles, and they also offer filling savoury dishes. They used to be located in Toa Payoh before moving to Upper Thomson, into a more spacious restaurant with great ambiance. I’ve passed by here a few times to pick up a slice of cake or so, and recently tried lunch there with my husband.
We arrived at around 12 pm on a Saturday and fortunately got the last 2 seats. Les Patisseries is a spacious restaurant but they do have a lot of customers on the weekends. The budget per person is about 15-20 SGD, though the servings are big and I spotted some of the other customers sharing their orders instead of buying one dish per person… which is a good idea if you want to leave room for dessert!
We ordered the Ultimate Chicken Burger (17 SGD). It came with a homemade charcoal bun and the patty was described in the menu as a ‘special prawn paste chicken’. It was quite good with a crunchy texture, and it came with cajun fries as a side dish. We also ordered the prawn Aglio Olio (17 SGD), which wasn’t as spicy as I expected but the pasta was cooked in a nice al dente way and the serving was big. The prawns were juicy, which is of course, a positive note. For dessert, we had a slice of the Nutella Cheesecake. I love how creamy their cheesecakes are!
All in all, it was a good dining experience, and do make a note of it in case you somehow crave for some french cuisine while in the Upper Thomson area.
