Atlas Coffeehouse at Bukit Timah
I was finally able to try out Atlas Coffeehouse! It’s one of the most insta-worthy cafes I see online, and has been on my wishlist for a while now. Located in Bukit Timah, with the closest MRT station being Botanical Gardens, Atlas Coffeehouse is a popular cafe with a hipster interior and a delicious menu. According to reviews, the place is usually packed, especially during the lunch hour. I arrived at around 11:30am and it was still quiet, with about half the seats vacant… but lo and behold, as the reviews said, it quickly filled up for the lunch hour.
While waiting for my main dish, I ordered an Iced Latte for 5.5 SGD. It was your usual iced latte and not as sweet as I like, but they didn’t serve me sugar to adjust it to my taste. I didn’t ask for sugar so I’m not sure if they have it, though I’m pretty sure they do. This iced latte kept me company for almost half an hour while I waited for my banana pancake.
The ATLAS Butterscotch Banana Pancake is what I really came here for. It’s a thick, fluffy pancake with cornflakes, caramelized bananas, and honeycomb ice cream. It was super filling! Take note, I came here alone and was seriously craving for pancakes that day, and this easily caught my eye when I searched the net, hehe. I ordered it despite the menu stating it would take +15 minutes, and was definitely not disappointed once it was served. The pancake was amazing! It was warm and fluffy, and the cornflakes complemented it quite well along with the syrup. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy the ice cream as much, but overall it was very tasty! I didn’t even finish the dish, I just ate half and then gave up because the serving was too big… lol. Definitely bringing a friend the next time I crave this so we can share it.
